The crickets are chirping and there is a gentle breeze blowing in through the open window. The tv is off and the guys are either sleeping or off doing whatever it is that guys do in their respective rooms. I am enjoying the relative quiet of this autumn night. I love this time of year. Finally the seemingly endless drone of the air conditioner gives way to the chirping of the crickets and gentle night sounds that I have so missed during the hot weather of summer.
I love the night. So quiet and peaceful. Everyone is asleep except for a few like myself who either wake up or can't sleep. I take the time to meditate and enjoy the quiet and the relative solitude that is given to me. Solitude that I do not get during my busy day.
Ah, the bedroom door has opened and my husband tells me it is time for bed. So much for solitude!
